Presentation & Documents: Ai WeiWei
For the first project, we had to make a presentation as well as a handout and a pamphlet. For me this was a very useful learning experience, considering nobody used Power Points or Prezis back in the olden days of when I was in high school. I found it challenging and time consuming, however I definitely have become more familiar with the process. For the handouts, I struggled using Word to create them and need to find a better avenue.

Project 2
Podcast.
I actually had quite a tough time making this podcast. I feel like a grandma who didn't grow up with computers. The easiest part was recording my annoying voice. Then it took me awhile to find an appropriate song with no lyrics. This was my first time using iMovie which I found to be easy to use. For me, the biggest obstacle came with sizing down my project and then uploading it to my website. I think I definitely learned a lot through this project, as this class as an entirety has been all new things for me.
Script:
How to make a jellyfish.
The supplies you will need are: felt, embroidery thread for stitching, scissors, a needle, and stuffing.
Step One: Cut felt to shape your jellyfish. A pac man ghost looking friend is good. Tie a knot at one end of threaded needle and pull through the corner of one side.
Step Two: Match the other piece of felt to the back, hiding the knot in the back.
Step Three: Stitch up and around the jellyfish coming back to the bottom. Once at bottom, do not pull thread all the way through.
Step Four: Take two piece of embroidery thread, whatever length and colors you want and tie a knot in a loop.
Step Five: Pull needle and thread bringing the knot tight to the bottom of the jellyfish body.
Step Six: Repeat over and over along the bottom.
Step Seven: Once you are about seventy-five percent along bottom, fill jellyfish body with stuffing.
Step Eight: Continue stitching and adding tentacles. Once at end: tie a knot leaving the thread to dangle, and you're done!
Now you have a jellyfish!

Project 3
Game.
This project was definitely my least favorite. I had a really hard time embedding codes and doing all the technical stuff. I knew from the beginning what concept I wanted to go with, being Van Gogh's ear. I didn't realize until looking at other people's projects how old school and plain mine actually looked. I would have liked to jazz it up a bit, but I think using that program kind of left me feeling a bit limited. This was a new challenge for me and in the end I was just happy I got it done, and it worked!

Project 4:
Animation
This project definitely took the most time to complete. It was a lot more involved than I had expected. It was easier than the last project dealing with decoding and coding, but it had it's struggles in it's own way. I deleted my work more than a few times. I had things pop up on the screen that completely blocked my view and I could not continue to draw. Even my husband told me that I find any way to make everything go wrong, I don't know what it is. I definitely feel like this was rotoscoping for dummies and I accomplished the very very basics, but I do feel like I would actually like to get better at this and do it with a fun video another time when I don't have a deadline.

Project 5
Tutorial
This project was actually my favorite. Ilike the fact that we got to chose something that we were interested in and show other people how to do that as well. I had fun doing the marbling of the paper and found it was something I will definitely continue doing. The creating of the video and uploading was much easier than the last upload and I actually went back and uploaded my podcast to youtube because I found it to be so much easier. This is the first and only project that I did not suffer from any technical difficulties. This was a good project to end the semester with.
